The company "Baltic Waste & Energy Group" (BWEG) is participating in a competition organized by the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection, and Sports (DDPS), aimed at finding environmentally friendly and safe methods for the recovery of ammunition from Swiss lakes.

The competition "Environmentally Safe Ammunition Recovery Methods from Swiss Lakes" specifically focuses on finding sustainable solutions that help protect ecosystems and address the issue of old military ammunition found in Swiss lakes. The lakes of Lucerne, Thun, and Brienz are associated with significant environmental and safety concerns, as ammunition submerged in the water not only threatens water quality but also the lake ecosystems and biodiversity.
