"Baltic Waste & Energy Group" is proud to support the "Baloži" draughts center, which in early June 2025 organized a summer draughts camp for more than 30 children from Baloži, Ķekava municipality, and other regions of Latvia. The camp focused not only on athletic growth but also on building friendships, enjoying nature, and supporting personal development. During the camp, children learned new draughts strategies, took part in competitions, hikes, and creative workshops.
"For several years the SIA "Baltic Waste & Energy Group" companies have supported the hockey club Mogo, the basketball team "VEF Rīga", the "Young Riders School", and rally driver Mārtiņš Sesks. Our sponsorship strategy is centered around promoting sports activities among children and youth - we believe that sports develop not only physical fitness but also discipline, determination, and analytical thinking. That is why we are also proud to support sports like draughts, which are particularly beneficial for cognitive and logical development,” says Ivars Lamberts, CEO of "Baltic Waste & Energy Group".
About the "Baloži" draughts center:
The center aims to promote draughts as an intellectually stimulating and accessible sport for everyone. Regular training sessions, camps, and competitions improve children's analytical thinking, discipline, and social bonds. The Baloži Draughts Center organizes draughts training in Baloži, Ķekava, and Katlakalns. Sessions are intended for children from the age of 5.
